As the subjact states, I need a new front tranny mount for my 2002 P5.

Will this one (at the top for the 2002 626) work for a P5? Or will I need to call Mazda for the part?

 

that looks like the front motor mount (front of the car, not motor). which mount are you looking for specifically? the tranny mount is on the driver's side of the motor. there are three motor mounts and one tranny mount. the motor mounts go on the front where the radiator is, on the back near the firewall, and on the passenger's side of the motor. the tranny mount goes on the driver's side of the motor. you could go aftermarket with these and get a firmer feel from the car. you can find these here: www.protegegarage.com . just look in mazda performance under engine modifications. you can get the stockers for cheaper, but there is a lot more fun in the aftermarket mounts.

 

The mount on the drivers side closest to the front of the car that's connected to the bottom of the transmission. Did you get those AWR mounts? They seem like a good product, I just wonder if they are as good as they claim to be.

 

the ones on the car in my avatar were awesome until...umm...that happened. yeah, the awr's are the choice mounts of all of the mazda owners that i know. they really make the car feel more firm and stop the wheel hop when it is wet or when you stomp on it kind of hard. is your mount completely broken or just ripped?
