So, this Bose sound system they put in the Mazdaspeed is marginal at best. Has anyone upgraded successfully, and if so, how did you do it? I'm particularly interested in getting good rear speakers installed for a surround-sound effect. My instinct is to mount them in the trunk, cutting through the front trunk liner, but if anyone has a less invasive idea I'd love to hear it. Thanks, guys.

yes on riadsters it's popular to tilt your seat forward and mount them on the rear cabin wall but ask a tech specialist or Mazda dealership worker if there's anyhting you'd cut into back there you should worry about.

Thanks. I'll probably take it to a specialist, then. There's a quality installation shop near Boston - Rich's Car Tunes - that I'm sure would do a good job. They're just a little expensive, but better that than permanently screwing up my new car...
