Okay, at first I thought it was just me, or some scientific effect, that made my music sound louder when I got on the expressway...but now I'm really starting to think it's my car. The sound gets about 3 or 4 levels louder when I drive over 50mph, and it does so abruptly, not gradually...I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this, or if I'm just crazy!

 

If you push the lower right **** in you will see ALC (Automatic Level Control)and it can be set for 1,2,3 or off.
It is also listed on 6-29 in the 2008 Manual

I was not making any comments on mental stability, since I know I am nuts [8D]

 

In his OP Kevin asked if he was hearing things or if he was crazy. Ifigure that we're all nuts anyway so I was just reassuring him of that in my own little way, of course.

Sorry for getting of track, I think it should have gone up to 5, cause with all the windows down 3 is not enough and I still have to hit the button on the Steering wheel once or twice after I get going[8D]

 

11!! Most amp-li-fiers only go to ten, but this one is one louder. This one goes to 11!! [sm=smiley2.gif]
I've found the 1 setting to be sufficient to compensateunder most circumstances.

 

Max on the 2008.5 is 64 where the 07 was 34, 3 was enough on it but I think the newer stereo needs 5.
