Infotainment sys
Hi all, I have a MX5 M4 2017. Love the car but not the Sat Nav or the set up of the start up screen for the system. I've downloaded AIO Tweaks and added some bits and bobs. I've disabled the disclaimer and in general speeded up the boot up. I've also added a digital speedometer. What I would like to do is have this speedometer be the default on the start up screen. Meaning, when the system boots, I'm not having to run tap on the screen and go to the apps folder to have it up and running. Anyone any idea if I can set the screen up so its on at start up? Also added the video player... It works but quite sure why anyone would want to watch video while driving and it allows this! Anyone added a new Sat Nav system? I know I can use Google maps with my phone but find this to much like messing. Is there a Sat Nav system I can add to the unit to replace the one it uses? Thanks all.
Err No! Not illegal, just not supported by Mazda and will invalidate the guarantee and just to double check breaking no copy right law. I am changing coding which I have every right to on my OWN car which I OWN. Even the maps are mine, I do not rent, so anything I do to my own property is up to me.I do not intend to sell. Another thing now you have rattled me, MAZDA put me onto the AIO site to start with. But thank you for your help.

No I have not… No where do I agree to any terms when starting the infotainment up. It does not ask me do, I'm am not hiring the system, I own it! I own all info, I can delete it if I want. Lets face it, 23, million folks using the tweaks, over all Mazda models, do you really think Mazda would be telling me where to get it from if they where worried? The would be suing all over the place. Another thing, "Pirate software" no, its not coped software, its ADDED code. I would say better re-written code, great wonderful code, cracking .Now, any idea how to change the default screen?

Mac,
There has not been much discussion about modifying the infotainment system on the forum. I recall when the system was first released, Mazda talked about it being open source. I had high hopes we would have additional gauges, a lap timer and other apps like that available on a phone.
You may want to check out one of the model specific forums. I have seen significant discussion on a Mazda3 forum as an example.
