BlueTooth not working

I just purchased a 2009 Mazda Miata. Trying to get the bluetooth set up.... If I follow the instructions...Push the voice Recognition/Hands free switch nothing happens.... No beep but the radio starts flashing MUTE.

What are the next steps? Can I unmute? is there a reset option?
