Default 1990 Miata steering problem

Okay guys, I need your expert help. ONLY people who know what the problem might be should answer thanks. I have a 1990 Mazda Miata that I bought to fix up. The previous owner hit a bump which bent the passenger's front rim. As I can see now, the car has a problem steering to the RIGHT (where the rim is bent), but has no problem steering to the LEFT (driver's side). The wheels won't completely steer to the LEFT however. The wheels are turn toward the right and won't really get out of that position. I looked under the car and saw that one of the rack and pinion's screws (the one in the BRACE at the passenger's side) was mangled. Do you think the only think I need to change is the rack and pinion?
