Change Fuel Filter on 2008 CX-9
Had issue on inclines with jerking, thought is was transmission but when serviced indicated engine was missing. Replacing spark plugs took away most of problem but still have some sputtering on inclines. Wanted to run some fuel injection cleaner through and replace the fuel filter. I've seen some vague indication that this may be able to be accessed through a panel under carpet beneath the 2nd row seat. Has anyone done this and have advice on changing the fuel filter?
Are you sure your CX-9 even has a fuel filter? I ask because something like 80% of all cars built since the mid-2000s do not have such a filter.
Regarding the jerking, it is HIGHLY unlikely fuel injector cleaner and/or other fuel system maintenance will help. Have you had the codes read on your vehicle yet?
