Central Locking Issues - Help!
Hoping there's some help out there - we have 2 x Flip Keys, both with new batteries, red light comes on the remote when buttons pressed, but will not operate the central locking on our 2008 CX-9 Grand Tourer.
There are 3 Keys programmed according to the PCM PATS report, we have two of them, with one 'lost'.
There are no error codes when diagnostics are run via ODBII port Scanner.
The Flip Keys work the central locking manually via the driver's door key lock, and the drivers door interior press button works the central locking perfectly.
Any ideas what the problem might be with the remotes and how to solve it?
Anyone know where, inside the vehicle, the receiver module is located for the Flip Key remote? Can that fail?
Thanks.

Thanks for replying!
No, not as yet - the 3rd key was recently programmed by an auto-sparkie - it's a genuine Mazda replacement blank key, not an eBay/Chinese cheapie.
For this reason, I was hesitant to erase and re-programme the two keys we do have, and thoughts then proceeded to whether the receiver could in fact be the problem?
Would certainly appreciate any other thoughts,
Cheers

Thanks heaps - that might explain things - so even though the 3rd key was programmed, and PATS shows 3 keys in the PCM record, you reckon the only way out of this is to re-program the 2 keys we have by erasing all keys first?
