Default 2011 display reads “Program cannot be read “

2011 Touring. After a dead battery issue, I know have a massage on the nav screen “Program cannot be read. Please consult to a dealer”. The whole system is non functional now. I’m told to check the sd card but I have searched everywhere and have found place for an sd card. I was also told to insert the navigational DVD from the glove box in the slot behind the display screen. There are two slots there. One is for CDs and the other one is marked for map DVD only. When I insert it, it clicks a bunch of times and then ejects the dvd.

The DVD appears to be in perfect, brand new condition. I have also tried disconnecting the battery and holding the brake pedal and headlights on for a minute and then reconnecting. I’ve tried that six or seven times and I still get the same message. Everything worked fine before the battery issue. Do I really need to take this to a dealer or is there something else so I should be checking. Thank you in advance for any help.
