Removing Intake Manifold - EGR tube

Removing Intake Manifold - EGR tube
In the middle of taking out Intake Manifold - all was going well until the last bolt - the one which sits directly above the EGR tube.
I can't get a socket in there because the EGR tube bends right infront of that bolt - anyone have any experience getting that one out? I'm reluctant to go hard with a small spanner as it my round off bolt - would prefer socket on it.
The tube is very rigid and does not move much at all - not even enough to pull out of the intake manifold. The end seems to be buried deep under a bunch of stuff.
Any guidance on this would be appreciated.
