Default CX-7 Immobilizer

Battery went dead. Put a new battery in, now the immobilizer is engaged. The code it is throwing after a few minutes of rapid flashing, is 1 and 6. This code is from the red car and lock light indicator in the dash. In addition, I realized the battery in the key fob was dead, so I replaced that battery. When I turn the key to the on and ACC position I have all power and the immobilizer light mentioned previously, then I try to start the engine there is nothing not even a click. Does anyone know how to reset or bypass the immobilizer? I have tried three times to contact my local mazda dealership for help and have yet to hear back from Wayatt Johnson Mazda service members.

More than likely you will need to get it towed to Mazda, pay for a 2nd key & get both keys reprogrammed to the PCM.
