well I have a 2007 cx7 with a bad engine. I just got a wrecked from rear donor 2010 with the 2.5 and was wondering if its just a motor swap, or have to swap pcm, harness. also will the trans that's in my 2007 accept the 2.5 engine? thanks.

You are gonna have to swap the engine/trans combo and use a good chunk of the the 2010 interior,

You will have to swap almost every piece of wire and every module.

Basically plan on gutting your entire 07 interior and replacing a lot of it with the 2010

Hi Duckboy,

I have a 2011 Aspirated 2.5 Mazda CX7 and am wanting to put basically just the engine into the 2008, would love some advice on what issues I might come across with the conversion. Wanting to keep the 2008 interior, dash and everything except for the engine.
