Default Tmps light

I have a 2016 CX-5. Recently my TMPS light has been coming on, but when I check the pressure in my tires they are not low. I reset the sensor, drive locally for a few days and it’s fine. Then I drive about 20 miles on the highway and boom, it comes back on. This has happened 3 times now and never low tire pressure when I check them. Can someone give me some insight? Thanks in advance!

Try going into the Maintenance section of the Settings and reset the Check Tire Pressure setting to whatever period you want to be reminded. See if that is what is causing the problem. On my 2014, it reports that tire pressure is low whenever the time between checks expires (actually, about a week before it expires). Why Mazda didn't use a report that just reminded you to check the pressure instead of saying it is low is beyond my comprehension. The thing drives my wife nuts as she is the primary driver of the CX5.
