Tent Trailer with CX-5
Our family is letting us borrow a pop-up tent trailer Coleman Sequoia 1985. It weighs 1455 lbs. We are supposed to be heading out to our first camping trip about 5 hours away in a couple days and it just dawned on me that my 2018 CX-5 GT AWD may not be able to tow it.
Can/should we tow it?

The owner's manual for our 2019 CX-5 says the vehicle is approved for towing up to 2,000 pounds ,with 32 sq ft of frontal area BUT the trailer must have brakes if it weighs over 1,000 pounds (and your state law may require trailer brakes for lesser weights). This appears to apply to all trim levels. Check your owner's manual under "towing", since your different model year could be different.
