Really has nothing to do with Sirius. It is a firmware issue with the entertainment issue and has something to do when the radio initializes.

It is a LOT better than it use to be, but you still get occasional failures.

As far as using Carplay or Android Auto to play Sirius, that works as long as you have a wireless signal, and that is not practical when traveling in parts of the country.

 

I checked my firmware this morning and sure enough, it was an older version from early 2020. Off to the dealer I went and got the latest installed this afternoon (sure took a long time). It's too soon to tell, but so far so good. And the radio response seems a little spunkier, as well. And Carplay seems to load quick without issue.

Glad you got it done. Actually takes 20 - 25 minutes to do and it can be done from home. I think I have done 3 upgrades, but you are right, this latest version is the best.
