I have a 2016 cx 5 with factory rails. Trying to decide between the factory crossbars or Yakima or thule. I plan on hauling two kayaks. The Mazda crossbars are less expensive, but can you trust them to hold up with only the bolts holding it on. Any response would be greatly apprecited.

Thanks for posting the pictures. I'm picking up my white 2017 GT/premium tomorrow and was torn on what roof rails to get because the brushed aluminum rails didn't look right on the white/black/polished exterior. Evidently I'm going to be picking up some plastic dip paint on the way home.

Looks nice, I got a free rack because I had to transport something for work, but I don't love the chrome look of it. Can you tell me exactly what dip you used and how to apply it? Thanks!

First-post newbie here: just bought a 2016 Grand Touring for my wife. I also negotiated a new rack and crossbars into the purchase and they installed them. Now I'd like to remove the crossbars (won't need them often): the installation instructions are missing.

How do I remove the rear endcaps? Do i insert a flathead into the slot on the rear endcap and pry upwards? I don't want to break or mar anything. Also wondering about those tiny green rubber bands. Any assistance greatly appreciated.
