Default Replacing heated mirror

Hello, over the weekend someone stole the driver side mirror off of our 2018 CX5 GT. At first I wondered why someone would do that... then I called a few dealers and found that the OEM replacement for glass with heater and indicator is nearly $200! I have the replacement and am going to install myself.

There are 2 wires for the heating unit, a black with blue stripe and a black with purple stripe. Does anyone know what wire goes to what post on the heating element? I haven't really found anything online other than an article where a person added heated mirrors to his CX5 (had to run his own wiring for heating unit) that said the order of wires doesn't matter. That kind of makes sense to me based on my very limited knowledge of electricity... I'm guessing the wires just pass through resistors in the back of glass to generate heat, so the order probably wouldn't matter like it would for a light or motor?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Wires can go either way. all it needs is power & earth to the heating element.
