I just got a navigation card from Navkings. Working great so far. From what I understand, I get three years of updates on the maps. After the three years, can I just get a new card and start over to get three more years of updates? Does anyone know if I could do that or am I married to this card?

 

There shouldn't be a reason you couldn't do what you suggested. It is just the card which gets locked to the car. I am sure it will be a lot cheaper to buy a new card than to buy additional updates from my experience. Updates are stupid expensive.
