Mpg update
Started with aprox 6000 miles on the odo of 2016 MX-5 automatic (red if that matters). First 2000 miles were stop and go pure city driving except for about 200 miles of 60/65 mph freeway driving. Mileage computer said 26.3 MPG for that segment of test.
Next took a 2000 mile road trip where about 1600 miles were in the 70 mph range, 100 miles in the 55/60 mph range and the final 300 in the 45 mph range. Computer for that segment read 33.3 MPG.
It should be noted that early in my owner ship of vehicle I tested the accuracy of the vehicle computer and found it to record 0.2 to 0.4 mpg LOWER than actual measured MPG.
Not too bad and it should be noted that during 45 mph segments I switched computer to read current MPG and was getting over 40 MPG.

Not sure why the above was posted in the CX-5 forum but took my first 'road trip' in a 2017 AWD CX-5 Grand Touring where the odometer just pushed past the 1,000 mile mark. Still a very new vehicle and, therefore, don't expect the mileage numbers to have settled in yet.
Very warm and humid day with gusty 15-20mph winds. A/C was on continuously. Mostly divided highway/arterial roads where speeds were 60-65mph. Trip computer was calculating 29.8 mpg yet when I filled up after this 250 mile trip, a hand calculation spit out 31.9 mpg.
Pretty happy with these numbers.
