I have the OEM ones from Mazda and they don't make any noise at all. I've only noticed them twice when driving in really severe storms, but they are super strong thankfully.

thanks...are they stick on or do they insert into the window track?...not a fan of the stick on ones and i worry about window motor strain with the ones that insert into the track

edit: look like stick on according to install directions... https://parts.mazdausa.com/p/Mazda_2...redAccessories

Just make sure you all understand that these are rain guards, and they do make noise when driving in dry weather. Most people don't hear it but they disrupts the normal air flow . I would say to save debates that an Audiophile hears them over an average person.
To support information an inexpensive db meter (about 10 bucks on amazon) can prove or support this information I posted.

When the car is parked, it can be convenient on hot summer days to leave the windows slightly open, with rain guards providing protection against possible showers.

However, where I usually park my car, it’s not safe to leave the windows ajar.
As a non-smoker, I also don’t find it necessary to drive with the windows slightly open, with or without rain guards, since my CX-5 is equipped with HVAC that automatically regulates both temperature and air circulation.

So for me, that means no extra costs, no additional wind noise while driving, and no visually unappealing rain guards.

Rain guards are design to reduce some rain from entering the inside of a vehcle while the vehcle is moving and not parked.
And yes, all of them make a noise!
I should add that if anyone contacts a manufacture of rain guards directly and ask do they make any noise you will get the exact answer I posted!

Or test it for yourself !

Some parts of it stick, but there are metal support brackets between the visor and car that are really strong. I've taken my car through many touchless car washes and they are holding up fine. It's definitely not like those super cheap ones you referred to that only stick on and hope for the best lmao.

I would add that it's mainly on extremely windy days that you can kind of hear the wind making noise. I drive one CX-5 with the visors, and one without them. I can't tell a noise difference at all, apart from severe weather when a big gust of wind hits. I just got lucky they came with the car when I got it CPO .

Although rain guards are designed to keep rain out while driving, they usually block most rain if the window is opened less than a centimeter (about 0.4 inches), depending on the model.
One could wonder, however, whether that still provides enough ventilation…

generally speaking, Auto Vent Shade, one of the oldest manufactures of rain deflectors and good quality offerings. They do use double sided tape. The installation failures of these stick-on type wind deflectors is primarily the result from mostly installer error. Primarily not cleaning the contact surface properly and completely before installing them and basically not following the installation instructions. While we do not install them on customers vehicles because of cost to customer for a simple install I can state the "stick-on" Vent shade on my 1998 Ford explorer have been on for over 15 years and never garaged always parked in the street.
Now on my Mazda I tried the Mazda, Ventshade and another off brand they all looked bad (imho) and they all made that "hissss" noise at highway speeds that is common on all vent shades. So off they went!

Sorry but this is actually funny. The setting on your HVAC system gives you the means to adjust for ventilation from outside air or recirculating the interior air. Windows up or down or in-between. Also during cooler weather and rain allowing ventilated air from the window increases the moisture in the passenger compartment and thus the need to use the defroster setting which will activate the AC compressor reducing the MPG and available engine power to clear the windows and windshield. Rain guards don't do that. LOL
