Default More questions 2024 CX5

After going through the manual a few times on these, I could not quite figure them out. When we first had the car, we saw that if we held the volume control down, it would blank the centre screen, but it would still the show the time digitally, now though the time is gone, is this a setting? I've looked and looked but nowt so far!
The second Q is about the remote locking the doors. Sometimes a double press to lock the doors which it always will, will beep, sometimes not. The only thing the manual seems to hint at, is to change the remote battery. Could that be it ? Thanks.

Always change the remote battery if its in question. Very common issue and easy to replace. Not sure about the clock appearing(or not) in the center screen

You can have the clock display on or off, just go to settings and find display and/or clock settings.

Won't that just never show the clock?

Not sure about the remote beep question - you can change the batt - - But it would be odd the remote battery in a 2024 was already dead- swap remotes try it - but theres a way to set the " keyless beep " when locking the doors to change volume or be off -.... - Go to " vehicle settings " , then , " Doors " then. " Keyless beep confirmation value " Low Medium high and off - - make sure you hit the button on the renote squarely - if not it wont give a beep on second push - as 1st push should beep and lock only 2nd is alarm armed with HORN confirmation " - you might be missing the first shot -These remotes are IMO not as good as prior - if you carry in pocket - they can go off or be damaged or lock on a commamd- which will kill the battery - i use a small case - You just need to spend time tinkering with it - on PP trims the mirrors fold on 1st -as well - rare that theres an ekectronic issue- highly reliable vehicles - the clock will appear if set to display - with Mazsa menu - if you turn the monitor off - you get zip - blank screen

Yes, I don't think it's a setting as sometimes it beeps and other times not. Maybe it is the way we press it. I know we have to be accurate when we want to roll all the windows down before we get in on hot days!

I've gone through all the settings and I don't see a clock on or off, I dont want to switch it off, it just appears that somehow it has changed . Before if you switched the screen off the clock with still show digitally. Now the screen goes completely blank. The manual just says the screen goes blank. I don't care either way, I just dont like the idea that my system has a fault.

In my 2023 CX‑5 with the Mazda Infotainment system (10.25″ display), if I press and hold the volume ****, I hear a beep, and the entire infotainment system turns off, leaving a black screen with no clock.
If the infotainment system is on and I press the Home button twice, only the clock is displayed.

In the settings, I can choose between a digital or analog clock.
Something like: Settings > In-Vehicle Displays > Center Display > Home Screen > Digital/Analog

Only if you turn it to the off position or you have an actual physical issue with your Infotainment screen/software.
