Mazda CX5 2020 GT Sport Nav- Loss of SatNav & Head Up Display
My Mazda CX5 is just under 3 years old so still under warranty and has done 11,000 miles. On a recent holiday I stopped at a service area and when I came to restart the journey my sat nav and head up display had disappeared and it gave me a message that the Vehicle did not have sat nav installed but I could purchase one at a Mazda dealer. I thought that it could be the SD Card and took it out and when I inserted it I had a message that the card was not recognised so I had to continue my holiday without these aids.
When I next went to fill up with fuel as I started the car everything returned to normal - I did read that someone else had the same problem but the cause was not identified. I will report the problem when I next take the car in for service but I guess if it is ok it will be difficult to identify - anyone else had the same problem? Thanks

While it's difficult to pinpoint the exact cause of this problem without a proper inspection, sharing your experience with the dealer may help them identify if other Mazda CX5 owners have encountered a similar issue. By reporting it, you contribute to the collective knowledge base and increase the chances of finding a solution or providing assistance to others who may be facing the same problem.
It's good that you initially considered the possibility of a faulty SD card, as that can sometimes be the culprit in situations like these. Since the issue seemed to resolve itself when you started the car after filling up with fuel, it's possible that it was a temporary glitch or a minor electrical issue. However, it's still important to report this problem to your Mazda dealer when you take your car in for service. They have the expertise and equipment to diagnose and address such technical issues effectively.

I have had a reply from Mazda and as I thought I thought it is a standard reply suggesting that I take it into the dealer and demonstrate the fault - I have responded and informed them that this is impossible and all I can do is to describe it as I have done to them. I have asked them if they would confirm that they have no knowledge of this problem and if they have to give me the details so I can give the dealer prior knowledge.
I await their response.
