Purchased this CX-5 about a year ago and it has always had a problem with not loading the nav database when cold, occasionally even when warm out. I found the Mazda service bulletin about the SD card having a bad batch and what codes to look for. Sure enough it was in the bad batch. Just for fun I downloaded Mazda Toolbox and was going to download the latest database but there was a fee and I decided to hold off until I replaced the SD card. So I put the old card back in the vehicle and the display just kept rebooting over and over and over again. I figured I had corrupted the SD card and I swung by the dealer today for a replacement. $400 later (I didn't want to take a chance on one of those $90 Amazon SD cards) and new the display has the same problem with the brand new SD card. It just keeps rebooting over and over. Any thoughts?

 

Have you tried disconnecting the negative battery cable for about ten minutes to see if that resets the radio?

 

Yeah, I tried that last night and it still keeps rebooting continually.

 

Take the SD card out, what happens?

 

Same behavior with card in or out. Tried both new card, old card and no card; it just does the same thing.

Might be time for a Infotainment software update.

 

Has anyone run the inbuilt diagnostic function for the infotainment system?
