The CX-5 fits like a glove so far for me. I like the higher ground clearance and sporty features.

 

I had four Subaru Outbacks, the latest was a 2010 with a six cylinder engine. I now have a 2016.5 CX-5. The Outbacks don't seem as bulletproof as they used to be. (Drive shaft, wheel bearing, oil usage) I don't have anything against them but I won't go back. The CX-5 seems to make good use of it's power, don't be afraid to floor it. I'm getting about five more miles per gallon than the Outback I'm averaging 28 mpg with only 8,000 miles on the car, versus 22.5 in the Outback. There's no comparison in the handling between the two, the CX-5 has much better handling. The creature comforts and very similar. I'm a happy driver.
