RVelle,

Sounds like the lease was the best option for you. It works for some and not for others. Too many people get a lease because of the lower payment and end up paying more in the long end because they didn't fully understand the commitment. Congratulations.

Having a built in allowance for " excess wear and tear" is something I've not heard of but a good idea. If your hard on cars you can have some extra costs unless you lease again from that dealer.

Montanaman - I'm not hard on my vehicles (outside of a deer taking my Murano out about 9 days ago, much more than scratch/dent...lol...because the lease was up yesterday will need to "rent" the Mo for another month as it's still in the shop...), but things happen.
