Has Anyone Tried Using a Pedal Commander on their CX-5?
23 Carbon, NA, I did not like the delay or hesitation when pulling out from a stop. I got the PC, the hesitation is now gone, which for me was worth the price. I tried many of the adjustable settings and this part is personal choice. I like City-0. It now feels like driving with a mechanical cable to the throttle. Bottom line, I like it. I plan on keeping it. Again, getting rid of the pull out hesitation or delay was the goal.
Remember if you have to go to Mazda for service to disconnect the PC one day in advance.
Although the PC does not change any aspect of fueling it could be considered a modification which could be debatable with respect to a warranty that may be necessary.
Hello, I have tried four times now, with no success. My car has exhibited the same symptoms as you. Limp mode and the same codes. Were you able to fix it?
A few days ago, my car went into limp mode. My speed dropped down without warning. I was using pedal commander. My engine light came on. I checked the codes. The codes were P2127 and P2128.
I called Pedal Commander. After I verified that the cable and pins were in good shape. They suggested uninstall the PC, and then reinstall the PC, after a few days. I don't know about you, but I'm not going to take that chance. The risk is too great. Are you willing to take that risk?

So You have a Pedal Commander. That is what this thread is about .
If not then you need to start your own thread about your specific problem with your Mazda.
If you do have a Pedal commander then I will have several question for you and your personal Mazda issues using the Pedal Commander that may help with it?
Was thinking about trying one of these mostly for fun (something new to try out) but curious if anyone has tried one of these. Not looking to race for a pink slips but the 2.5 turbo has some decent potential, I think (2020 CX-5 with 2.5L Turbo). Maybe. I dunno. Don't want to blow the engine or kill my warranty and I'm certainly not going to be swapping exhausts, installing a CAI, thermo, etc. Was just curious if for $300 it actually does anything. It seems like so many of these products end up just being junk that doesn't work or may work but also destroy your hardware (engine/etc.).

Hmmm? Not sure why it was so hard. The connector fit perfectly in-between the drive by wire harness and mainly input harness? That is why Pedal Commander is so popular it ease of installation on most every vehicle it is applicated for with simply DIY tools done in less than 30 minutes for a more DIY savoy wrench jokey. LOL . On a Mazda likely less than that if you have everything ready and the driver seat full back and the usual flash light in your mouth lol.
Gas Pedal no..... Drive-by-wire YES:
Drive by wire or DBW technology in the automotive industry is the use of electronic or electro-mechanical systems in place of mechanical or cable linkages(gas pedal) that control driving functions.
