Bought the CX-5 back in April 2025. I believe it came with 3 OEM all-seasons (Tracmax ties, never heard of them?) plus a 4th budget aftermarket tire. Obviously one replaced. Anyway, just installed 4 new winter tires on new steelies.
For winter, I chose General Tire's Altimax Arctic 12. 225/65R17XL FR 106T. I have had very good success on other family vehicles [Honda Odyssey, Civic, Toyota Corolla, Mazda 3 and Mits] so, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. They perform very well in our erratic snow/slush/cold Ontario climate.
Side note; we've already had one heavy streamer blast of snow before the winters were installed and the AWD performed admirably. My wife was very pleased and felt safe. Now, I'm actually hoping for some good snow dumping to try out the AWD plus Altimax.
