I do not believe that seat would effect the handling in anyway of a vehicle? LOL
Actually, it could, if it did not allow you to remain securely planted while making sharp turns at speed, but the problem would be less in the car than in the driver's ability to control it. The fault would be in the seat though.

Now back to our scheduled programming.

Your Mazda is a little different then the ones being talked about in this thread, but I can generalize.
ok lets talk about seats....

Most average or the highest percentage of people that drive do not know how to do really drive spiritedly in the first place and most have no clue what and how to use the DEAD PEDDLE often called foot support or rest on the left side of floor board. It is not really a footrest often mis labeled. Even if you had a bench seat you could stay firmly planted in your seat/driving position once you understand the know how about the function and use of the Dead Peddle. Seats most OEM style in daily drivers really have little to do your driving abilities or the handling of the vehicle. And if you want to talk about seats, firmer in turns is better than softer for your butt comfort as far as performance steering

Don't forget a strut bar will give you 50 more HP or 75 more if it is color matched to your paint.

Wow! I had no idea a strut bar would increase HP like that. I'm gettin one for sure based on that info.

On a serious note, I think I will install a solid one piece strut bar based on the always sound & expert input by Sr. member "Callisto".
Now, any info. as to brand and source for a decent, solid strut bar would be appreciated.
Thanks to all for replies to my original post.

Thank you George.
To also add any suspension upgrades I do for myself or other I have a access to a very large industrial parking lot that is kept very clean for shipping and loading. There is no obstructions and it is almost perfect flat less then 1 degree deviation anywhere and very nice smooth tarmac. The company manager has been a longtime friend so I was allowed to mark a 200 foot skid pad that on weekends when no one is there I can do testing. I use an accelerometer to measure G force values. I did test the strut bar before and after I installed it and even tested and removed it in the parking lot to verify the test results. A sold bar will show at least on a gauge improvement. As for the feeling that would depend on the individual and the awareness one has on how the vehicles steers in turns and how experienced in driving a bit aggressively is. The strut bar will add no discernible harness in normal driving.
Look at this, if it is your model and year Mazda.
Interesting that Mazda has a 4th bolt on the tower instead of the normal 3 for CX5 models? If that picture is accurate?

Why is it on forums members often compare their other cars that are not even in the same class as the one being talked about?
You would not notice a difference in your 350Z it had a 4 point mounting strut bar in "normal" daily driving. And you application is totally different than the platform being talked about here. In your case the strut bar should also be a strut tower reinforcement. That means that the plat that mounts on top of your strut tower needs to be thicker then most average and normally offered strut bars. Otherwise if you sport drive and go over a bump the impact could mushroom the strut tower.
