Default CX-5 locks doors with engine running and fob inside

This morning I left the car running in order to worm up the engine. Outside temperature was around -17C.After 15 minutes I was trying to get in and for my suprise all door were locked. Second fob didn’t work either. Finally I did get in using manual key. Any suggestions or because of the cold?

Been there done that.
I left the key fob on the center consol, the door locked and had
crawl in through the rear hatch; no fun with bad knees.
Since I've left fob in driver's door recess. No problems since.
My 2*¢

Could the fob battery be getting low causing the sensor not to see it?

Not battery related.
Proximity to start button front of consol seems to be reason the locks click on.
Leaving the fob any where else won't trip the locks. I use the recess in the drivers door
of I'm leaving the fob in the car and leave area for some reason.

My 2¢

I'm curious about the year also. My 2022 doesn't do this with the fob inside the car and engine on. Sometimes I start it manually to warm up and leave the fob inside since remote start design is an engineering error. I can leave the key anywhere and it doesn't lock.

Locking while the fob is in the car would usually cause issues at service locations and car washes, not to mention some valet parking locations.
