Well Mazda claim 6.7L/100km's for my 2L, but I'm getting around 8.5L/100km - it's still lighter than my Jag used to be so I don't really know how to feel about it.

I agree, comparing to other competitors, I think it is still acceptable.

I found my CX5 to get excellent fuel economy but it is very throttle sensitive.

When I first got my 2018 I thought it was bad on fuel .... But now with 2700 miles I think its actually really really good on fuel .. better than I hoped it would be !

26.9 mpg over 115k miles on 2016 CX-5 Sport. I do a lot of parked with a/c on to do paperwork in the vehicle and highway miles. I imagine I would do better with a Mazda6 with the lower profile.

Pleasantly surprised with the MPG we get with the 2018 CX-5 AWD. I think the cylinder deactivation helps a lot. Much better MPG compared to the 2012 VW Tiguan FWD we owned before.
