I am curious what most are doing hooking up their phone to CarPlay. Do you just use the USB cable from the center console and put your phone in the cubby in front of the gearshift? Or do you mount your phone on the dash or in the cup holder?

 

I use a wireless adapter that I got on Amazon. Works like a champ!

Thanks. The reviews are a little mixed regarding lag and dropping connection. What year CX-5 are you using it on? Do you experience any of the issues reported?

 

I am using it on a 2023 CX-5 base model. The only problem I have seen is that very occasionally it will take a while to connect, but usually it is almost immediate. I just leave my phone in my pocket unless it needs charging.

 

I use a headphone cable in the center console and have had zero issues.
I run the cable under the left side of the console to cubby where I set my phone.

 

I just plug my phone in with the charging cable and put it in the cubby by the shifter.
