IPhone no longer charging over USB
Hi guys,
I always charged my Iphone over the USB slot in my Mazda CX-5. Since I upgraded to iOS 7, I can not do it anymore as my phone says that non-propriety cable or accessories are used and hence there is no contact. I use the original cable that came with the phone and have tried several other Apple cables as well without success. I can only conclude that Apple does not accept my car.
I now charge over the cigarette lighter again :-/
Anybody else with this problem ?

I'll be interested to see what kind of response (if any) you get to this question. I'm new to Apple and recently got an iPhone 5 w/ios7. I just assumed you could only charge from the power outlet and that the USB port was for inputting to the infotainment system only (not charging a device). Is there an advantage to charging from the USB port over the charging/lighter port?
So why would you use one power source over the other?
Because i usually have my USB cable with me and not the big, cumbersome cigarette lighter plug with adapter. And the other thing what bothers me is what does Apple give me the right to no longer access my USB in my car just because of an upgrade.
