I purchased a portable CD player with Bluetooth (Oakcastle CD100), to use with my new 2021 CX-5. I have not been able to get the car to recognize it. The directions for the CD player have you press the "Mode" button which causes the Bluetooth logo on the device to flash on the device's screen. It then says to "Follow the instructions for your external device to connect your external Bluetooth device to the CD100. When connected, the Bluetooth logo on the display screen will stop flashing and become static." The logo does flash on the screen, but I cannot find in the Infotainment system how to add another Bluetooth device. Everything I have been able to find online focuses on how to get the car to pair with a phone, which I have already done successfully. I was also able to use my Bluetooth earbuds to work with CD player without any difficulty, but I would like to be able to have it play through the car audio system. (And, yes, I know that I could burn CDs to a USB drive, but I only use CDs with audiobooks I borrow from my library. I'm not a big music person.) Thanks for any help!

I see that there is no listing for a 2021 CX-5 so you may have to try another year or perhaps a 2021 MX-5. Once you enter the info click on Entertainment near the top of the page and then you'll see a link for Bluetooth and Learn More.

Worst case, you may have to pair the CD player with your phone and then the phone to the Infotainment system in order to get it to play.
