Hi
I have a 2015 cx5 diesel that we have had multiple issues with since buying second hand. 3 weeks after buying it we ended up with a cracked head and the dealer replaced with a reconditioned motor. My current issue is that the fluid in my radiator is currently black. My husband has checked it and it doesn't appear to be oil and has a "combustion" smell to it. Any suggestions please?

 

Did you pay for the recon engine?

 

No, the dealer we bought the car from organised the replacement engine. Since all of this happened we have replaced the engine. We were lucky enough that our son had 12 months or so ago bought our Mazda 6 diesel that we no longer needed for our business from us and they have the same engine. We found him another car more suitable for him and swapped it for the 6. My husband did a complete engine swap. The Mazda 6 engine had been replaced by Mazda less than 30,000km ago (due to a recall issue they couldn't get the error to clear on) so we know the history of the engine. Hoping we have no further issues.
