2025 CX-5 Soul Red paint issue
Next time maybe better pictures
I can see now and looked at my Mic Black a and sure enough they were there before the repaint of the front as well. LOL
Mazda gets complaints on paint all the time not just red and red is not the most complaint either.
But I don't want to start a debate about rale facts ...on this thread of yours.
It somewhat sound like you are now satisfied with your Mazda? Most auto body & paint shops can shoot a coat of clear on the door jam area for about 400-500(est) if it bothers you that much.

So I purchased my Soul Red CX-5 prem plus just after Christmas and was able to give it a wash and wax yesterday. I was really shocked and disappointed on the poor quality of the paint job. #1 is all the door jams. They are orange and not red. It's not very noticeable in the shade or shadows but outside in the sun it is REALLY bad. I've had metallic and clearcoat paint on many cars and NEVER saw this problem before. It's like they missed the 2nd coat of paint. #2 is on the front lower bumper there are what looks like fisheyes. I can't tell if it is in the material or the paint but it's ugly and very apparent. Seems like Mazda quality control is missing or on vacation. Has anyone else had issues like this?
Mine was purchased new with 5 miles on the odometer and no shipping damage.
I think it is just cost cutting on the quality.

This is always the unqualified and non-fact-based answer to many things' owners blame regarding vehicle and what they should have had or have not.

Sorry but after being on different vehicle forums for 26 +years this just gets old....

Then please do enlighten this ignorant and unqualified new to the brand Mazda owner who lacks 26 +years [sic] of forum experience. Why does Mazda make the painted areas under discussion so inferior in appearance to the rest of the paint?
ROLMAO The funny part is a door jam gets looked at for how long each time you open and close the door. That is unless you are at a car show and want to show off the interior of your all stock Mazda's interior. LOL
As for the other I don't need to make any "guesses as to why the door jams were not finished and I don't think Mazda is going to comet either on lame information that they are tryi9ng to cut corners. That is the number one thought from a person that is not ever been employed for an auto manufacture in the executive branches. LOL
If it bothers some of you so much then it's easy remedy have a paint and body show blow new paint and a clear coat . This will in no way effect any aspect of your Warranty and you can stop complaining about what you should have noticed before you purchased the Mazda. Oh wait you did not notice it because it really is not that noticeable until someone starts a thread and your read about it otherwise how on earth did you miss it during the shopping and purchasing of your new Mazda???? LOL
To be clear I do sympathize with some of you and I will state that when I purchase my new Mazda I did not notice when I opened the truck lid it was not a finished clear painted paint like the external part of the body. So when I removed the badges (de-badging) including the emblem that leaves hole in the lid itself after I welded up the holes, I had the complete lid both externally and the inside repainted and clear coated. Now how many asides from myself ever will notice that? Did I see it when I was looking at the Mazda at the dealership.... nope! But with my color Mica Black I would have noticed the door jams not clear coated as in the case and especially a vibrant color of the Mazda RED.
Even the underside of my hood was not clear coated but my 2 other hoods I have for my Mazda when they were painted, I had one painted and clear coated.
OPS now I have blown it, some of you are going to be running out to your RED Mazda and popping the hood and looking to see if that was not clear coated either. LOL
