android auto wont set up
Mazda said I have the latest software already installed. I did manage to get android auto connected (via USB cable) but the Android auto screen says it needs me to turn on notification access from my phone, and gives me two choices: Exit or Go to Phone. Clicking Got to phone, whether the car is running (parked) or not running but with ignition on, gives me the message that for safety reasons I cant do that now! Frustrating! Besides I do have notifications turned on anyway.
Thanks
P.s. I finally got it working.

when i try to set up android after the first few steps it says "go to phone". when i click it it says "you cant do that while driving" even though the vehicle is off/in park. i tried resetting my phone, re installing android auto, restoring factory setting on my vehicle and it still says cant do that while driving. its really frustrating since android auto used to work with no problems. i had to stop using it because i needed a new cable and now i cant get it to work.

I did a few things:
Good luck.
- While at home and connected to WIFI, I updated android auto.
- I switched the cable from my Samsung S21 to the other USB port in the Mazda's console
Good luck.
