chickdr19 points out the current warranty 3 year and 5 year.
Unfortunately, both your 2018 warranties have expired because of the years.

Turns out the extended warranty was purchased, found the paperwork and made a call to the warranty company who confirmed. Paid a visit to dealership and will have car taken o them after holiday. The guy just kept looking at the warranty 84mo/100,000 mi like he couldn’t believe it. Said that they will have to have an Inspector come in a check it out before work can start? Not sure what that is about. But I am happier than I was last week.

Wow that's very lucky. Take pictures and keep them as evidence of the issue.

It's actually better to request all the documentations pertaining to the inspection rather than pictures period. Pictures in this case would simply be supportive information On the documentation.

Please come back when this ordeal is over and let us know how it turned out and what they did to repair your car.

It would be more beneficial if you were willing to post the actual service order and then the completed service order with EVERYTHING except your personal information. And if you are willing the extended none factory warranty coverage invoice again everything with only your personal information omitted.

Without this any statement is going to questions, controversy and speculation as to what exactly was done what was exactly covered by the independent warranty contract and Mazda direct and or although unlikely the dealership and what the out of pocket expenses not covered .

It indeed sucks when we have major vehicle issues, and I too have been in those situations on numerous occasions in the past.

However, much like the world has always been...
Everyone has a story, but without the facts from both sides, it's only a story.
