I recently had my battery die due to cold weather. Got the car going after taking battery out and inside to warm up. Upon restarting car, I have a master warning light on that’s says 4wd inspection required? What can I do to try and fix this issue before heading to a dealer and paying the 200 dollar diagnostic costs. Anyone been through this before?

any help is appreciated

Get the battery fully recharged & professionally tested. If it passes refit it, restart the vehicle & see what happens.

Got the battery tested, tested ok, but the warning light is still on. Not sure why exactly the battery would die and then poof my awd decides not to run. Awkward coincidence

Sometimes, modules throw a code when system voltage is too low or too high. You probably need to clear the code with a code reader that works with Mazda codes to see if it returns. If it returns, you may have a problem.
