2015 CX-5 locking issues
DEALERSHIP PLEASE GET IT RIGHT!! If you feel ripped off don't go to them. You do have a choice!
But if you continue, I will ask you what in your opinion let you to believe that happened? But your service about the harness is not exactly what the dealership stated on the service order. It is your interpretation!
As for the actual service related and replacing the harness section that would be in line with how all dealerships would perform that repair and this goes without saying a big difference between many independent service shops and dealerships that are under a totally different insurance coverage. There is even more to that, but you get what I am saying. I hope if not I can be clearer with more explanation!
As for your next stop as you placed it was a Friend! So, you don't really know what a non-friend in an independent service shop or auto electric shop might have charged you for diagnostic and repairing the issue.
If you want to debate or argue this point first post your actual work order from Mazda.
My basic point is like most electrical issues DIY do not have the experience to DIY and should at least go to a service shop to have the issue at least found and give that person the information at that point to decide if they have the know how to fix it?
As I often say on some service-related threads, if some problems are being asked how to fix it then it is likely not a DIY repairable service.

Have a great day!!
That's what exactly what was stated on my invoice. How do even know what was stated on "my" invoice? I don't have time for this stuff. Where were you when I needed help? Why are you showing up now telling people what or how we should state our statements?
Have a great day!!

I don't know if you noticed but this is the internet and an internet forum, and you are not here in my service shop IN THE REAL WORLD so get real with how much anyone can do to help members. As for again post the service order because while your summation of how you interrupted it is in your mind is not likely what was stated on the work order. Or you simply saw a complete harness recommend service and didn't think by your own value how much that was worth based on NO real information about how a business like a shop actually stays in business and develops a profit to do so? I suggest you read a little more clearly what I said about dealerships and service vs an independent shop and mostly regarding insurance of the different shops requirements. The main point is dealership as a whole are generally all independently owned dealership and must comply with their contract under the auto manufacture especially regarding service département.. Basically, by the book and that actual Mazda service book!
I just did not want the other poor member to think that you found the problem yourself and or that it was an easy fix which could be totally different to what his issue is.
BTW in looking at your profile seems you pick and choose when going to a dealership service vs a 'friend" at a service shop.
