***CX-5 2,2 Diesel Experts HELP***
I have a 2014 Mazda CX-5 with the 2.2 diesel. The car has about 100k miles on it. I have done about 4 oil changes on it, doing an engine flush every time. I use DPF specific oil and quality filters. Now, before winter I did an oil change with a flush. All was good, then I got the dash warning message "check engine systems". The code given is D06DE:00-6C. "Engine Oil Pressure Control Circuit stuck on" Nothing noticeable, drives fine and does not go into limp mode. I did replace the Oil pressure/temp sensor (Bosch) already and during a test drive same code came on. What is this? Is it 1) Oil strainer carboned up or 2) Oil pressure control valve defective? New oil pressure control valve SH0114440 is expensive. Questions: 1) Where is the Oil pressure control valve located? 2) Can the Oil pressure control valve be cleaned or how to test it? PLEASE HELP, frustrated. I have a big trip planned for new years, how this does not derail it The last thing I need is to drop the oil pan and drop that oil pump to change the strainer.
