Default Oil question - help!

Hi chaps, first poster. I have a 2009 Mazda6 2.2 (diesel). About 7500 miles ago I had an oil change. I checked the oil today and the oil is way up on the X of the dipstick. I understand from this forum that this is because the DPF thing is shooting diesel into the oil. I have two questions here: 1. Should I add more oil and if so 2. how do I know what enough/ too much is if it’s already at X?? Is the car safe to drive or am I risking blowing the engine? (Okay that was 3 questions). Any help would be appreciated.

I'm sure the oil change interval should be 6,000 miles. Definitely time for another oil & filter change. DO NOT ADD ANY OIL

Failure to change oil immediately can cause a catastrophic engine over-run / runaway & engine destruction.
