Remote Start winter time
Hello,
I have CX-30 2023 and I am using My Mazda.
Tonight all windows were frozen and I decided to use Remote Starter option from My Mazda.
I believe that it works 10 min.
Practically it did not have effect and all windows remained frozen.
I assume that I have turn temp to max and vent to max and put it to front.
Maybe this will take effect.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

The defrost settings are contingent on the coolant temperatures. Electric heaters of glass heaters are contingent on few factors that relate to how well they work which the basic one is the ambient temperatures and then how much moisture is in the air. Then we have the overall condition of the glass, meaning if it is clean. Even if the glass looks clean does not always mean from an operational standpoint of defrosting that it is clean.
I suggest that if you are expecting better performance to have the heat setting to max. Adjust after you start your drive, and the windows are clear and the passenger compartment is comfy warm.

OK
During the day I don’t need to have heat on max but tonight I am planning to turn heat to max, select vent speed to max and direct airflow to front window
Before leav the home I Will start engine remotely and see if it had affect
Thanks

My live in temperate Seattle but when the temp starts to dip, I do use remote start and it works great. I don’t do anything special with the heaters but I always have my heaters/fan set to auto and 70 degrees.

It’s been around 10~20F or so when I use the remote start, I park it in the driveway. I have it set to turn the heated seats, side mirrors, defogger when the Climate Control is set to AUTO. There is a setting under Vehicle Settings > Occupant Comfort that allows it to do this (Maybe just the seats?) It works very, very well. It wont melt off any good amount of snow on the car, however it gets very toasty when left for 15min. You can remote start twice for a grand total 30min. Like others mentioned it works on the environment, so it won’t turn heated anything on over 30-something.
