your user name made me smile!

That player has to be plugged into a USB port. I only have two USB ports that are under the armrest. There is no room to put that player in the compartment under the arm rest. Am I miss-understanding something? BTW, thank you for your help/suggestion.

You can easy in about 2 seconds add usb ports.
If you look at the pictures I even added a coup[le inside the glove box to the right of the player. I also added in the console/armrest compartment as well there are 2 under the left side of the console for passenger use. This was I should never have cable all over my driving area.
Most every glovebox on Mazda from 2014 and newer have room for this universal DVD/CD player., I prefer the blue. LOL
Oh and I add a glove box LED that has color changing adjustments , I prefer the blue light. lol

I'm trying to "get" this. My glove box looks different than what you pictured and there isn't anything in my box to plug into. Our models must be different. I have a 2022 CX-30 Select and there is a shelf in the box. I have no idea what that circular thing on the bottom left is!
The lower shelf is removable
My suggestion is to contact a auto stereo shop tell them what you want to do and show them my pictures. They will know exactly how to do it for you. The DVD/CD player is less then 50-75 and the misc. USB connectors are maybe 5 bucks each. Labor is 1- 1/2 hour . So with all said and done you be able to get a DVD/CD player installed wit 1 or 2 extra USB ports for about 200-250?
