Default CD Player

My CX-30 does not have a CD player. I like to list to my CD music on long drives.

What method is there to be available to play this music.

Thanks

Downloading music to a usb drive has been a great option for me. Saving it on your phone is also another option.

I suspect Amazon has a bunch of CD player options that connect by Bluetooth or FM. I have not investigated this for a CD player but do use a FM connection from my phone for an old car with old technology.

Maybe you can help further.

I did a test & copied a CD to a 64gb SanDisk USB drive. When inserting it to both vehicle USB ports, I get a notice that the device is not recognized. Any further suggestions?

Make sure your flash drive is set up to FAT32.
I just bought one set up for FAT32, used Windows Media to download my CDs and copied the music to my flash drive.
Works great in my CX-30.

Sorry to trouble you gain.

I can not change the file format from exFAT to FAT32, I tried with Disk Management with out any luck. Could not change the File System to FAT32. The only options avai;lable are exFAT or NTFS.

Could you assist by providing further detailed instructions... I am not very computer savvy.

Not sure how to reformat your disk to Fat 32.

Do what I did, buy a flash drive already formatted to FAT 32.

Sorry cannot help more but feel free to always ask.

Default Play CD Music on CX-30

I got a PNY 32GB Attache 4 USB 2.0 Flash Drive Storage Stick. It works great! Downloaded a CD album to laptop, then from laptop downloaded to flash drive.

why not just install a simple universal CD player?

It is about maybe 2 hour install for average DIY and for those more skilled DIY about an hour.
