For your "claimed" overheating issue, either a 180F or a 195F would be fully open anyway.

If your gauge stays within the operating "lines", still not sure that you really have an issue.

I use a 195F Stant thermostat in my '88 B2200; Arizona desert, Cab Plus, cross-bed tool box and I don't overheat.
