Mazda 323,Mazda 626 & Mazda 929 Whether the compact 323, the mid sized 626, or the full sized 929, these vehicles remain very popular even though production has stopped.

Whats Up Guys,
Just came across this site tonight, so I haven't even had a chance to lurk, but I wanted to register and put some pics up. The car is a 1988 Mazda 323 hatch with the non-turbo motor and auto tranny. I've been checking out a couple of sites that talk about a first gen Miata head bolting right up. Anyone have any experience with that? I bought this car as a $500 beater to keep less miles on my XJ8, but its so light I'm almost certainly going to end up getting the mod bug. Any common swaps with this car?

First day engine shot

One bottle of engine degreaser

Slow Hatch

Since the pics I debadged and washed it. I'm just looking for fun on a semi-conscious budget. Any ideas/places to start?

I wanted to say welcome to the forum! Sorry that I cannot give much info on mods, as I like to stay stock.

that bottle of engine degreaser you used did miracles... damn that engine bay looks nice! you could always just put a muffler or full exhaust on your car and make it sound good/decent... i dunno how quick that little car is but i dont want you blowin it up thinking that it may handle more than it could... its sad to hear a fellow mazda owner blowing up his engine...

but yeah, that magical degreaser worked wonders! good job!
