I have a 95 mazda 626 lx. The security light came last night after I shut the car off. Now the alarm/horn honks for ten min until it shuts off automatically. The car wont start this way either. Yesterday I fixed the hood to where it would shut again. Its weird all this started right after that. Anyway, now the hood release wont work so I cant even dissconnect the battery. Can anybody help, Im at the end of my rope with this car. I just fixed the stupid trans and now this happens. I love the car but Im going broke fixing the thing.

 

Probably what has happened since you fixed the hood to close is that the hood switch for security system is now operating as it should and system is now arming itself when you lock the doors. If hood switch was not closing before then system was never arming. Try using the key to open either the passenger door or trunk instead of drivers door. If alarm does not go off when opening the car from either of these two other places then most likely the drivers door key cylinder switch has either fallen off the back of the key cylinder or is defective.
