929 keyless remote programming
I have just bought a 95' 929. and besides a bit of bad paint, its a great car. I just had to replace the batterys in the keyless entry remote, and it still wont work. A friend told me that I would have to re-program the system. Mazda want to charge me $85 to do this, so before I pay them, does anyone here have any idea how to do it? Thanks in advance for any help

RE: 929 keyless remote programming
Cartmansnuts, please check that https://www.mazdaforum.com/m_42003/tm.htmas well as the attachment (it is from 626 workshop manual - ignore notes in Russian ). Although both procedures are not for 929 I hope they should match your car.

RE: 929 keyless remote programming
Do not think they probably will Sirob as the 929 uses kind of an oddball procedure.
Start with all doors, trunk etc closed and key turned on.
Turn key off and remove from ignition
Open the drivers side door.
Now insert the key and turn to ON and then OFF and then remove the key.
Repeat the last step two more times
Now close and open the drivers side door three times ending with door open.
If all went right then should hear a single buzzer sound telling you that you are in programming mode.
Press any button on the first transmitter 2 times.
Should again get a confirmation buzzer that signal was received and accepted.
If you have additional remotes then program them by repeating the last two steps.
Once done with all remotes then wait for approx 15 seconds and should get a series of 4 buzzes tellingyou that programming is complete.
