626 Transmission Problems

626 Transmission Problems
I have an automatic 2002 626 4 cylinder.
Suddenly one day it didn't want to go into reverse. It would but I have to rev it super high just to get it to move backwards barely.
After taking a trip through some hefty hills all of sudden once it hits 3rd gear it just revs super high and will make catch 4th eventually.
Someone suggested changing the Neutral Safety Switch so I went and bought a used one.
The problems were fixed but after about a week and another trip through those hills the same thing happened.
Do I need a new Transmission? A new Neutral Safety Switch?
I'm desperate haha.

4-cylinder 626s from 1994 onwards used Ford's CD4E automatic transmission, which quickly became known for its extremely high failure rate. All 626 automatic transmissions, meanwhile, continued the previous generation 626's habits of ill-timed shifts and indecisive kickdowns"
