Default 626 fuel filter

The company that changes the oil on my wife's 2000 626 told her the fuel filter needed to be replaced. How could he tell without removing it? I think he thought he had a dumb blonde and would make quick extra buck. Boy was he wrong, about the dumb part anyway.

hey. okay the tech wasn't trying to make a quick buck. Remember when your oil is changed that the milage has to be noted as well. Now by looking at the engine's mileage man y assumptions should be made in order to to keep the vehicle running at its best. This is how the tech made the assumption on your wifes car. The dumb blond thing isn't always the best to resort to. The tech was only doing his job. Matter of fact it takes a good tech or mechanic to not these things an makesure that they are taken care of before any damageis done.

Well that does it for that one. Email me or just post and i'll try an answer any other questions you have.

If you're realy sceptical about it... check your service history...for your major services... for when the fuel filter was last replaced... I belive it should be done ever 30 k miles...
